Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing new, and extending existing product ranges, with a national scope, in order to assist in meeting the department objectives.

Examples of Key Tasks:

  • Performing research and analyses in markets and sectors in which the department is active, in order to detect potential commercial opportunities.

  • Conceiving, developing and planning actions, together with other departments, to commercialize new products and/or services and to approach new markets or regions, in order to stimulate sales and thus contributing to reaching the department objectives

  • Initiating and maintaining good contacts with existing and potential clients, external experts, in order to build a network of relationships that contributes to reaching the objectives.

  • Continuously remaining up-to-date of the evolutions and the developments in the field of your markets, keeping your knowledge up-to-date with regard to the evolutions and managerial skills, in order to strengthen your credibility by offering a service that is always based on updated knowledge.

How to Succeed/ Your Profile

  • Based in the UK/IRL, preferably in the midlands.

  • Able to travel throughout UK/IRL

  • Fluent in English

  • Good organisational, planning and prioritisation skills.

  • Previous experience in the INDU/AGRI Markets is preferable

  • Very good product knowledge and willing to learn and take on new markets and products

  • Insight into processes and systems

  • Computer skills, knowledge of the current software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint …) and/or willingness to learn.

  • Very good communicator

  • Influencing & negotiation skills

  • Being able to work project-based

  • Team player

  • Positive influence on team & stakeholders.
