Job Description – Sales Manager (South India) Base Location - Chennai
Job Role:
Maintenance and further development of the commercial contacts with new and existing customers in order to realise the set turnover.
- Constant customer visits to analyse and guide the purchase behaviour of the customer
- Providing optimal assistance to customers in case of problems/complaints and – by doing so – offering a good service
- Maintaining telephonic contact with the customers on a regular basis to achieve the sales objectives
- Active sales and promotion of the complete product portfolio in order to stimulate the sales to realise the set turnover.
- Taking the lead with the development of new markets/segments for both new and existing customers, in order to differentiate and expand the basis.
- Contacting and mapping new customers (suspects and prospects), in order to further develop the customer portfolio within the defined sales objectives.
- Responsibility for the creation of qualitative (*) reports, in order to be able to guarantee a good follow up of the customer contacts.
- Responsibility for investigating and resolving queries from customers. Follow up on collection of outstanding payment from customers.
Desired experience:
Minimum 3 years of sales experience in spare parts/equipment in the relevant industries. Knowledge of current market & to expand market share with new customers.

• Ability to collect marketing & competitors’ information & to report timely to managers.
• Ability to collect debts.
• Ability to provide quality after-sales service to customers.

• Proven Track record of achieving KPI’s and targets.
• Outgoing with an ability to build rapport with people of all backgrounds.
Desired Educational Qualification: Diploma/BE in Mechanical/Production/Automobile.
