Safety Specialist
Full-time | Safety | Location – Olathe, KS, 66022
Utilize your knowledge of safety practices to support business growth. Collaborate with the EHS Manager to ensure the effective execution of safety initiatives, manage administrative and compliance tasks, and manage resources to meet project deadlines.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You’ll deliver short and long-term projects that support the business strategy. This will involve:
Implements, manages, and monitors compliance programs, policies, and procedures to meet EHS regulatory requirements.
Ability to respond to safety-related incidents or emergencies.
Maintaining incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action programs.
Responsible for maintaining accurate records for OSHA compliance and workers' compensation claims
Perform job hazard analysis, workplace inspections, and internal audits as directed to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Conducts safety training for employees, maintains records, and related training improvements.
Supports train-the-trainer activities and programs for site safety ownership
Act as an advocate for safety, promoting a culture of safety awareness and best practices among employees and leaders.
Attend start-up meetings, safety committees, and Gemba walks for employees across multiple shifts to support safety initiatives and visibility. Rotate attendance on different shifts for visibility.
Ability to plan and schedule work to meet deadlines established by EHS Manager.
Develop effective and timely communication with EHS Manager and leadership on safety-related matters.
Provides data from compliance evaluations or incident programs to support EHS performance metrics.
Handling administrative tasks, including record-keeping and documentation
Fulfill any additional duties as assigned by management.

Must possess a minimum of 3 years work experience in executing advertising projects
Must possess experience and/or training in supervising, selecting, coaching, mentoring and training, as well as the demonstrated ability to effectively resolve issues, using judgment consistent with policies and legal regulations
Experience and/or ability to effectively use project management and marketing software and tools
Demonstrates intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Google Suite (Mail, Calendar, Hangouts, Sheets, Drive), as well as Adobe Suite
