We are currently recruiting a Supervisor Dispatch to support the Warehouse Logistics manager in the running of the warehouse operation with direct responsibility for the dispatch operation of the NDC based in Worcestershire.
Your role and responsibilities
You manage a fixed shift operation of 35 staff with 4 direct reports, with a monthly throughput of 66,000 lines.
You organize quarterly staff reviews and you are responsible for team and individual KPI management in line with the business needs and objectives.
You follow up on absence management, return to work, accident investigation, continuous improvement plans on an annual basis.
Health and safety legal compliance and compliance with all company policies and procedures for your team are you responsibility.
You take the lead in developing the dispatch team for the benefit of the individual and the business.
You take responsibility and accountability for resolving all dispatch issues with escalation to senior management as required.
You take collective responsibility in promoting a collaborative approach in delivery of a results driven operation.
You move a successful team operation to the next level!
How to succeed / your profile
A proven track record of managing teams of 20 plus in a fast based logistics environment.
A minimum of 10 years people management experience and currently working at Operations manager level.
Be able to demonstrate the management of teams via KPI and a collaborative communication skill set approach.
Having a background from the 3pl sector will be advantageous.
Experience will be required in the usage of WMS such as Link, Manhattan, Redprairie type.
