M&A Senior Analyst - Americas Region

Full-time | Finance | Location – Olathe, KS

Join our expanding global team as the M&A Senior Analyst for the Americas region. This key role is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and executing M&A opportunities that align with our strategic objectives in the Americas. In addition, he or she will work closely together with the US Management team and the Strategy and M&A teams based in Belgium on global strategy and the execution of acquisitions across the globe.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Origination:

  • Identify potential acquisition targets in the Americas based on our strategic direction.

  • Lead preliminary research on identified targets and make initial contact.

  • Filter through leads to focus on the most promising opportunities.

Analysis & Due Diligence:

  • Oversee and coordinate due diligence efforts across multiple internal and external teams.

  • Develop in-depth financial models and valuation analyses for potential acquisitions.

  • Report on due diligence findings, providing valuable insights and recommendations.

Deal Structuring and Negotiations:

  • Collaborate with financial and legal teams on potential deal structures.

  • Engage in the initial phases of the negotiation process, ensuring alignment with our strategic and financial objectives.

Deal Completion:

  • Ensure all conditions for closing are met seamlessly.

  • Liaise with legal teams to finalize documentation.

  • Coordinate communication plans both internally and externally for deal announcements.

Integration:

  • Develop and oversee post-acquisition integration plans, ensuring a smooth transition and alignment with our company’s strategic goals.

HOW TO SUCCEED / YOUR PROFILE

We're looking for a dynamic individual who understands the nuances of the M&A landscape in the Americas. The ideal candidate should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is advantageous.

  • Min 3-4 years of relevant M&A, corporate development or consulting experience, ideally with a focus on the Americas and the Industrials segment.

  • Strong analytical skills, ideally with relevant professional experience in accounting, financial modeling, and valuation.

  • Proven relationship management abilities.

  • An acute cultural awareness of the Americas region.

  • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.

  • An adeptness at project management, able to handle concurrent projects and tight deadlines.

  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and adaptability.

  • Technical proficiency, notably with the Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with tools like Tableau is beneficial. 

  • Willingness to travel.
