As Service Manager you act as a trusted partner and advisor towards the business in order to provide optimal service delivery for IT Development and Infrastructure Services.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You are co-responsible for the end-to-end service delivery for services delivered under the Development and Infrastructure Organization.
You develop an annual strategy to develop and enhance the services under your responsibility. You meet with architects to discuss the impact of new technologies and the architectural roadmap, and you translate the technical IT roadmaps toward the business stakeholders.
You ensure that both the service and technical delivery needs of the business units are fulfilled.
In order to provide an optimal service delivery you act as a trusted partner and advisor towards the business. You build personal relationships with key people within the organization and take ownership during escalations and outages for Development and Infrastructure Services.
You constantly look for and guide continuous improvement efforts in order to guarantee the best services, taking into account quality, performance, and cost.
By implementing a successful service delivery approach you intend to maximize customer satisfaction and achieve the predetermined service level objectives. You report to senior management on IT performance (SLOs, KPIs, TCO).
HOW TO SUCCEED
Degree in IT, Business economics, or equivalent through experience.
Minimum of three years experience in service delivery management, managing large outsourced IT development and/or infrastructure service contracts.
Extensive knowledge and experience with Agile, Dev/Ops, ITIL, Project Management, and Budget-Management.
Knowledge of IT development and infrastructure environments (SaaS, Java, .Net, Progress Development, Service Desk, Network, Middleware, Data Centers, Cloud, and Workplace Services).
Strong communicative and analytical skills which allows you to solve problems in various situations.
You are a team player with a flexible attitude. You take initiative and handle issues in a diplomatic manner.
Capability of managing, motivating, and coaching employees with an open and positive attitude and a willingness to listen.
Drive by result and ability to set priorities while keeping an optimal service in mind.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Willingness to travel abroad on a regular basis (up to 50% travel).
