Senior Controls Engineer being responsible for setting up, developing, following up, programming, maintaining and restoring the complete automation process of the activities in the various TVH plants in order to guarantee optimal functioning of the organization. Detecting and analyzing needs, problems and/or defects related to automation, in order to optimize the existing systems.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program and debug structure text, ladder logic, and SCL code on multiple PLC controller platforms (Siemens S7 or TIA portal required)
Architect, write, and debug PLC code with an emphasis on generating code that is organized, structured, documented, maintainable and reusable for similar applications
Participate in initial equipment conceptual development and carefully balance product specifications, process requirements, layout complexity, cost, and lead-time limits
Contributes to cross-functional project teams supporting activities related to controls issues including, but not limited to, programming PLCs, Human Machine Interface (HMI), and troubleshooting electrical controls
Conduct verification tests to confirm machine performance and adherence to control design specifications
Maintains the upkeep of process control computers, software licensing agreements, and backup of software files to minimize the downtime of manufacturing equipment
Maintains documents (e.g., electrical schematics, panel layouts, PLC, operator display, operator interface, ) throughout equipment life cycle and documents any changes during that time
Supports engineering in the implementation of standards and specifications as it is related to controls systems
Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all Business Unit safety and environmental policies in the workplace
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
HOW TO SUCCEED
3+ years of experience in the design and commissioning of controls systems for industrial applications.
2+ years of experience in Siemens (S7,Tia Portal, WinnCC) applications
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform complex testing of electrical systems.
HMI and SCADA programming experience.
Field bus networks, serial communication and Ethernet communication.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
Experience solving complex problems with little to no supervision on schedule as an individual or as a member of an integrated team.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
