TVH, a global parts specialist for material handling, industrial vehicles, construction and agricultural equipment, is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated individual to join our team as a Global Quality Director. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for establishing and leading a global quality organization, ensuring consistent product quality control and quality assurance across all regions and functions within TVH.

You will report directly to our Chief Commercial Officer.

Your role and responsibilities

  • Establish Global Quality Standards: Develop and implement a unified set of quality standards, processes and procedures across all regions, eliminating regional differences in quality control. Setup a global quality organizaton and define clear quality metrics and targets to drive continuous improvement.
  • Product Quality Control: Oversee incoming quality control processes, including the inspection and testing of products to ensure they meet quality standards. Lead investigations and root-cause analysis of quality complaints, driving corrective and preventive actions to address any issues.
  • Quality Assurance: Drive product quality assurance efforts by implementing robust quality assurance end-to-end processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve quality control plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Supplier Quality Assurance: Develop and implement a Supplier Quality Assurance program to guarantee supplier responsibility. Conduct supplier audits, grading, and qualifications to ensure adherence to quality standards. Generate insights on the total cost of quality per supplier and drive improvement initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the Product and Procurement departments to reinforce quality as a key topic for continuous improvement. Provide training and support to employees across the quality cycle, from procurement to customer service, thus creating the best quality awareness and mindset. Monitor the execution of quality processes and non-conformity handling, driving continuous improvement efforts.
  • (Re-)Manufactured Products and Internal Suppliers: Ensure that the same quality standards are imposed on (re-)manufactured products and products from internal suppliers. Collaborate with relevant departments to define and implement quality control measures for these products.

How to succeed / Your profile

We are looking for someone who can come up with simple solutions to complex problems. To join us you need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Quality Management).
  • Proven experience in a senior quality leadership role within the technical wholesale industry or a similar field.
  • Spare parts experience.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control and assurance methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in developing and implementing global quality standards and procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root-cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Willingness to travel globally, as required.
