As the General Sales Manager, you will drive the growth of the business through the development and execution of effective sales strategies. You will be entrusted to build and lead the external sales team to continued success. This is a rewarding role which will suit a person who has the drive, desire and enthusiasm to be part of a market leading global organisation. 

About the role

The General Sales Manager is a senior role, which will report directly to the Regional Director - Oceania. Your key areas of responsibilities will include: 

  • Managing a national sales team of up to 10 area sales representatives and BDM’s based across Australia 

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with our key accounts

  • Implementing plans and strategies to ensure consistent monthly and annual achievement of sales budgets and KPI’s

  • Building, maintaining and leveraging effective business relationships with customers ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer experiences

  • Providing leadership to foster a collaborative, accountable, and results-driven culture within the sales team.

  • Report as required on sales, budget and strategic objectives

  • Represent TVH at shows, exhibitions and business forums

This role can be based in either Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne and offers flexible working opportunities.

About you - Skills, experience and qualifications

This role will suit candidates who can display prior experience and knowledge in a sales management role within a relatable industry. 

  • Strong Leadership skills and proven results in leading and coaching geographically dispersed sales teams

  • Ability to work towards and exceed KPIs

  • A strong commercial acumen and financially astute

  • Genuine passion for delivering a high quality customer service and instilling in others 

  • High levels of professional integrity, initiative and innovative thinking.

  • Sound computer systems and data analysis skills, including the use of Microsoft Office

  • A hands-on approach to the workplace

  • Qualifications in Business Management /Administration desirable but not essential
